Did Manny Ramirez’s PED Use Come From Using Erectile Dysfunction?

I have heard reports that the woman drug Manny used helps steroid users get back on track, but I have also heard that he could of tested positive for using Erectile Dysfunction drugs? Comments?

Chosen Answer:

He had erectile disfunction because he was on steroids. Taking one drug to lessen the side effects of another.

    Possibly…..doubt it.

actually on mlb.com it shows that it was a womens fertility drug something that steroid users take at the end of a cycle to tell their bodies to start making testosterone on its own again.

IT stimulates regrowth of the Testicals by increasing Testosterone production in the body. But the Reason it is banned is not only because it increases testosterone (and physical strength), but also because it is used to regrow the gonads/tesiticals after they have shrunken from Anabolic steroid use. I remember asking my doctor what it was when i was pregnant with my daughter and he mentioned it, HCG.

  6. Dexmonte says:

If that were true, then he could have taken Viagra, which is not
a banned substance. The drug he took is a fertility/testosterone
booster. This drug is widely used after prolonged steroid use.
During steroid use, one’s body stops naturally producing testosterone
because it is getting it from the drug. Once a user stops taking
the steroid, his system then needs a “boost” to start producing
    testosterone naturally again.
Manny is playing dumb until he gets his answer straight.
My guess is that he has been on the roids for quite awhile, and
    finally got caught.

the drug has been used for both purposes. even if he had a legitimate medical problem, ultimately, it is manny’s responsibility to know what he is putting into his body. i love my dodgers, but these days, a pro athlete can’t be too careful. if it were me, i wouldn’t take anything without investigating it first.

so i guess my final answer is, either way, the suspension is appropriate.
